Wean-to-Finish Gating
Farmweld Wean-to-Finish Gating. – high quality, flexible, cost effective
From the time weaned pigs enter a wean-to-finish building to the time they leave for market, their housing and management requirements have changed dramatically. Meeting the pigs’ needs along the way depends on attentive care as well as exceptional equipment.
Farmweld’s wean-to-finish gating system can assist in that effort. Made of high-quality, durable materials, the gating has uniform heavy welds that stand up to the rigors of growing pigs, all the way to market weight. This gating system is designed for easy installation and offers flexibility to meet your operation’s changing needs. Farmweld also offers a range of complementary wean-to-finish products to help get your pigs to market faster and more efficiently.
Gating is designed for a range of pig ages and sizes. Farmweld’s wean-to-finish gating accommodates pigs from 7 pounds (3.18 kg) to 280+ pounds (127+ kg). However, the gating also functions seamlessly in finishing units.

Durable, high-quality materials result in uniform heavy welds that ensure the longevity of the gating as well as enhance the safety of workers and pigs alike. The gating weighs 10 pounds per foot (4.6 kg per 305 mm).
Gates are constructed to a 36″ (914 mm) overall height with 3/4″ (19.05 mm) schedule 40 top pipe, 7/8″ (22.2 mm) solid horizontal top and bottom rods, and eight 1/2″ (13 mm) solid horizontal inner rods.
Posts provide extra durability. Posts are placed at the gating intersections to add stability and strength to the overall gating system.
Gates are sized to fit your buildings. All gates are made according to your need and to fit each individual barn. That means there is no cutting or welding required on-site.
On-site installation is quick and easy. The gating comes with all the hardware needed for complete installation on site. The standard package includes posts with 1/2″ (13 mm) x 5″ (127 mm) x 14″ (356 mm) steel base plates.
The Flip-to-Clean system allows the feeder to be rotated upside down for thorough cleaning — without the need for removing the feeder from the fence line. Feeders can be locked in two positions for cleaning and drip drying after cleaning. Cleanup crews will love how easy it is to clean and dry all angles of the feeder with the Flip-to-Clean system.
Options. Drop-pinned gates are standard, though flip-latch gates are also available. Swinging-gate designs prevent pigs from getting gates open.
Gating is built to order. The option of stainless steel bottom 4″ of posts and brackets is available.

What our customers say about our gating.
“My local Farmweld rep suggested a pen layout with sort gates. The first load out of the barn took two people only 30 minutes. The past layout used to take two or three people two hours.”
